ColsonCo commenced
operations at the beginning of 1990 offering
service and spare parts support for screen
printing machinery, industrial/graphic cameras,
densitometers, and photofinshing equipment.During the first half of
this decade the development of computerised
equipment rapidly increased and things like
cameras ceased to exist. ColsonCo continued to be
involved with screenprinting machinery,in
particular Svecia from Sweden and Macbeth (later
to become GretagMacbeth) densitometers and colour
measuring equipment now manufactured in
Switzerland.
At the same time
the photofinishing industry was in rapid growth
and ColsonCo developed a range of photofinishing
consumables and in partcular the Pakon slide
mounting system which became the industry
standard throughout New Zealand.
During this same
period of time ColsonCo sold and installed a
relatively large number of Colex roller transport
paper and film processing machines, which also
became the industry standard for this era. Today,
the photographic industry is in state of flux due
to the advent of the digital camera and the
requirements of existing customers has changed
dramatically.
ColsonCo continues
to support all existing customers for
photographic consumables and equipment spare
parts. Parts are available for Colex processors,
and can be sourced for Noritsu Minilabs.
Service and spare
part support for screenprinting machines,
GretagMacbeth densitometers and colour measuring
equipment is still an important part of
ColsonCo's business. The supply of
Ultraviolet(UV) lamps for screenprint dryers is
developing.
ColsonCo current
screenprint equipment agencies include Svecia,
Gilco, AWT World Trade screenprinting machinery
and Ultralight UV lamps.
Other agencies
include GretagMacbeth densitometers and colour
measuring equipment, Colex and Pakon imaging
equipment.
A range of
refurbished/reconditioned machinery and
instruments are normally available.
