Pattern Recognition and Trend Line Scans

• Development commenced July 20th 2001

• Now the trendlines can be identified the obvious next step is to scan and index the actual Chart Patterns.

Chart Patterns to Identify

• Shapes - Factors in the scans would be shapes like "channels", "symetrical triangle", "ascending triangle", "descending triangle"

• Ranged patterens - "Bull flag", "Bear Flag", "down wedge", "up wedge"

• Slopes - "Steep", "Medium", "Flat"

• Duration - "long term", "mid term", "short term"

Events to identify

• Gap down through support line

• Gap up through resistance line

• Price below up trending support line

• Price above down trending resistance line
